Organizers and D.C. officials say a major HBO-televised boxing match at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center on Dec. 10 will have “tremendous impact” on the city's tourism and economy.

The match, officially announced Thursday during a news conference at the W Washington, D.C. hotel, will feature Unified Super Lightweight World Champion Amir “King” Khan defending his title against native Washingtonian Lamont "Havoc" Peterson.
